Arch Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for a Manufacturing company based in Derby.
This is an exciting position suited to candidates experienced within Precision Manufacturing, that have a solid background within Quality Assurance, ideally within the Aerospace, F1 or Oil & Gas industry.
Role responsibilities –
• For the role of Quality Engineer, you will develop, implement, and maintain the AS9100-compliant Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure adherence to AS9100 standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the QMS and recommend enhancements.
• You will plan and conduct internal and external AS9100 audits for the role of Quality Engineer.
• Manage KPI’s and approved suppliers
• Prepare for and facilitate third-party audits, including certification and surveillance audits.
• Document audit findings and oversee corrective and preventive actions will be required for the Quality Engineer role.
• Analyse processes to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure consistent quality.
• For the Quality Engineer role, you will work closely with production teams to establish and monitor quality control plans.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for nonconformities.
• You will generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics for the Quality Engineer role.
• Write and manage SOP’s, work instructions and prepare visual aids.
Role requirements –
• You will be experienced within a similar role with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in the aerospace or defence industry.
• AS9100 Internal Auditor certification is highly desirable for the role of Quality Engineer.
• Proficient in AS9100 standards and quality management principles.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace industry regulations and requirements is required for the Quality Engineer role.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as PPAP PFMEA, FMEA, SPC, and CAPA.
• For the Quality Engineer role, you will have experience with root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
